Renée Underwood, Serra Club of Ft. Worth, Trustee
A lifelong Catholic, Renée Underwood has a desire to learn something every day that will draw her closer to Christ.
Following a successful career in marketing and advertising roles in the C-suite, she has served in stewardship, development, and Catholic foundation management roles for dioceses since 2009. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Renée is Chief Development Officer of the Diocese of Fort Worth Advancement Foundation with responsibility for annual and planned giving, major gifts, endowment funds, and capital campaigns.
Renée is a past board member of the International Catholic Stewardship Council and is the council secretary of the Southwestern Lieutenancy of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Renée is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Keller, TX., where she is a reader and participates in its All Women Rooted in Christ ministry and various studies.
Renée joined Fort Worth Serra Club in December 2018 at the invitation of two members. Just three months later she was serving on the board as program VP and has helped to carry out Serra’s three-fold mission ever since. She currently serves as President of Fort Worth Serra Club. She serves the Serra USA Council as a facilitator and mentor for IGNITE workshops that help parishes form vocations ministries.
Renée holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas, and has completed additional graduate studies toward a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University New Orleans.
A trained spiritual director, Renée is a widow, a mother of two sons, and a grandmother of three who loves watching sports, especially her beloved Red Raiders, spending time with her grandchildren, and international travel through Catholic pilgrimages.
Thomas J. Fasl, Serra Club of St. Louis, Trustee
Thomas Fasl is the Finance and Operations Manager for the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis in Saint Louis Missouri. He is originally from Kansas City Missouri where Tom graduated from Rockhurst University with a BSBA in Marketing and Finance.
Tom has been a member of the Serra Club of Saint Louis since 2012. He has served the club as a Trustee, Vice President of Communications and President. Tom was the Liturgy Chair for the Serra International Convention in Saint Louis Missouri.
Tom is proud to be a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, and a past President of the Serra Club of Saint Louis as well as Certified Master Naturalist with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Tom’s hobbies include golf, fly-fishing and reading.
Tom is an Instituted Acolyte in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis. He works closely with the Seminarians and Faculty of Kenrick Glennon Seminary during Archdiocesan Liturgies and Ceremonies at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis and throughout the Mid-west.
