Emanuele Costa

Past President

Emanuele is the sixth of nine children and grew up in Genoa, Italy. He graduated from the University of Genoa with a degree in economy and commerce. After spending twenty years between Genoa, New York, and Miami managing the family-owned shipping business, he started his own private equity company, now based in Milan, Italy. He now resides in Lugano, Switzerland. Joining the Serra Club of Lugano in 1997, he has been Club President, District Governor, and President of the Italian National Council. Emanuele has three children and five grandchildren living in the States.

Margo Geddie

President

Margo received her B.A. in economics from Skidmore College. She attended the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University with a double major in Accounting and Finance. She started her career in wealth management with Morgan Stanley more than thirty years ago and achieved the title of Senior Vice President-Wealth Management. Margo serves on the Advisory Board of St. Mary’s Catholic Seminary , the Development Board of the University of St. Thomas and is President of the Serra Club of Houston, in addition to being President Elect of Serra International.  She also travels extensively to cultivate new Serra Clubs in other parts of the world.  When she is not traveling, she enjoys spending time with her family including her daughter, Ashley, and her son-in-law, Ken, and their two precious sons, Thomas and Wells.

Anisha Lingham

I’m Anisha Lingham, a Charter Member of the Serra Club of Bangalore, India.

My journey with Serra began at its very inception in 2002, and it has been a blessing to serve in various capacities over the years — as VP for Members, Secretary, President-Elect, and for the last 4 years as President of the Serra Club of Bangalore.

By profession, I run an English Institution where I oversee Administration and Finance, and I teach English Grammar to my students. 

I have always held a deep passion for Vocations. In my younger years I felt called to religious life, but God had a different plan for me. I remain committed to that calling through my Serra service. I am single and have the privilege of caring for my elderly mother.

Beyond Serra, I serve with the Seniors Ministry at the Archdiocesan level, and I am part of an outreach team that offers remedial classes to students in nearby villages.

In my personal time, I am a voracious reader. I find peace in books and music, and my greatest joy outside of Church duties along with reading is gardening.

I am truly honoured to join the Serra International Board as a Trustee, and I look forward to serving with my whole heart in whatever capacity is needed.

Fran Pulumbarit

Trustee

My name is Fran Pulumbarit and married to Felisa (Baby) Pulumbarit. We have 4 sons and 4 granddaughters and
1 grandson. I graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service
degree. I am also a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. I retired as Bank Manager from the Royal Bank
of Canada on January 1, 2010.

My wife and I joined the Serra Club of Markham and Scarborough with her as the Charter President on
December 10, 2009 and me as a charter member. In 2015, I was elected the Club President. We have always been the largest of the 17 Serra Clubs in Canada. I was a former Club VP of Membership and currently the Club VP
of Programs. In 2003, I was elected as the President of the Serra Council for Canada and currently serving as a
member of the Serra International Board as Trustee.

I am also currently a 35-year member of the Knights of Columbus and had served as a Past Grand Knight,
Former District Deputy, Past Faithful Navigator and Former District Marshal for 7 years. I am also a proud
member of the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem where I currently serve as a
Knight Grand Cross of the Holy Sepulchre.

Tony Mangione

President-Elect

Anthony (Tony) Mangione is a retired Real Estate Asset Manager who managed some of Toronto’s top office towers. Tony and his wife Ann have two children and seven grandchildren. He is a parishioner at All Saints R.C. Church in Toronto and a member of the Serra Club of Toronto West, alongside his wife Ann and son Anthony Jr. In addition to holding every position on the Board of Toronto West, Tony has served as District Governor, President of Canada Council, and as V.P. Program and now Vocations for Serra International.

Anne Larkins

Anne has been a member of the Serra Club of Melbourne, Australia, for more than 15 years. She joined her father, an uncle and a cousin in the club after coming to meetings as a guest for many years. She served as VP Membership and was the Club President from 2012-2015. She joined the Serra Council of Australia New Zealand and the South Pacific as a trustee, then VP Membership and has served as President since 2016.She has attended a number of Serra International Conventions and USA Serra Rallies over the past 10 years and values the connections with an international community of Catholics. Anne has a 25+ year career as a management consultant. She has a strong practice in probity and in public administration governance and program review. Anne serves on the Bayside Mission Pastoral Council – a Council representing 6 churches in the Melbourne bayside region.

Jo-Ann Bresowar

Trustee – 2yr

Jo-Ann has been a member of the University of Dallas Serra Club for more than twenty years. She is a past president of the University of Dallas Serra Club and past Chairperson of the District’s Vocational Awareness Program (VAP). In the past, Jo­­-Ann was President of the Diocesan School Board, chaired Parish Finance Councils, served as a Red Cross Volunteer, is a founding member of the Diocesan Ministry on Disabilities, was Chair of the Laity representation for the Texas Catholic Conference and a Catholic School Grant writer. Jo-Ann attended the University of Dallas, SMU and UTA. Her career was in human resource management with a specialty in International Compensation and Benefits. She worked for major international corporations as well as the US Department of Energy. Jo-Ann retired from Alcon Laboratories in 2010. It was at a Serra International Convention in Chicago that Jo-Ann first heard of the John Paul II Monstrance. The year was 2014 and she was that year’s Chairperson of the VAP. Since that time, District 46 has had the St. John Paul II Monstrance for adoration in our dioceses for seven consecutive years. Jo-Ann is now the District Governor for District 46. The District is no longer 46E and 46W but is one district which now includes the Tyler Diocese. District 46 (Dioceses of Dallas, Fort Worth and Tyler, Texas) hosted the US Council’s Serra Rally in 2022 and 2023.

David Fink

Treasurer

Dave Fink joined the Serra Club of Indianapolis in 2013, on the invitation of his father, Jack Fink.  He joined the club’s board the following year and became the club treasurer in 2015.  After serving as treasurer for eight years, he served two years as club president.  Dave also served on the Serra International committee for the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress.

Dave graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in accountancy and philosophy.  In 1992, he joined the forensic accounting firm of Hutton, Kruse and Fink, Ltd. and became a partner in 1994.  He served for many years as the treasurer of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, treasurer of the Hollis Adams Foundation, and has served cumulatively ten years on the parish pastoral council at his parish St. Luke the Evangelist in Indianapolis.  He also formerly served on the Litigation Support Services Committee of the Indiana CPA Society.

Dave’s greatest accomplishment is his marriage to his beautiful wife, Heather.

Richard Arians

Secretary

Richard Arians first joined the Serra Club of Mankato, MN, in 1995, and then joined the Rochester, MN, club when he moved to Rochester in 2001. In Rochester he served two terms as president and a term as District 7-S governor. Upon relocating to the Mankato area, he re-joined his original club, serving a term as President while also serving as the Region 8 Director.

He served on the US Council Board as Vice President—Programs, followed by a two-year term as Board President. Prior to sitting on the US Council Board, he served as chairman of the Council’s Leadership Committee and was a regular contributor to Spring Leadership Trainings Conferences and the Serra Rallies.

Mr. Arians has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Wisconsin and earned an MBA from Augsburg College (MN). Professionally, he worked in management positions in the food, cellular communications, metal fabrication, and roofing industries. After retirement, he taught Mathematics and Economics at the Saint Jose Del Rio Sanchez Minor Seminary in Mankato and currently works as a tennis official for the US Tennis Association and Intercollegiate Tennis Association. He and his wife Ruth live in Madison Lake, MN, and spend much of their winters in Fountain Hills, AZ. They are active members of All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. They have two children and two granddaughters.

Sylvester Ada

Sylvester Ada holds a master’s degree in business management as well as a post graduate diploma in financial management, having earlier bagged a diploma in Quantity Surveying.

He   has over 40 years in private practice as a Project Quantity Surveyor and real estate developer before becoming the managing director of a commercial printing press and agribusiness.

Sylvester has been a member of the first Serra Club in Nigeria, Serra Club of Lagos since 2007. He has served the Club as vice president of vocation and Club President from 2017 – 2019. He is the formator of Serra Club of Yaba and also served as a Trustee.

He is proud to be a Knight of St. John International ( KSJI ), Commandery 1020, Nigeria.

He has attended a number of Serra International Conventions since 2010, including the Pilgrimage to Petra, Spain, the birth place of St. Junipero Serra. He is married to a serran, Ayo and they have three children.

Sylvester’s hobbies include golf, music and travelling.

Mike Downey

VP of Vocations

J. Michael Downey is President of the US Council for Serra and chair of the Leadership Development Committee for the Council. Until recently, he was also Region Director for the Central Region of Serra—a role he served in for the past 4 years. Prior to that he was District Governor of District 9E (Iowa) covering six clubs and four dioceses representing about 320 Iowa Serrans. He served in this role from 2014 until 2018. Mike is a member of the St. Serra Club of Des Moines, IA and he has held the following offices in that club: President, V.P. Vocations, V.P. Communications and Trustee. He chaired two region conventions held in the Central Region that were hosted by the St. Serra Club of Des Moines. Mike has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University (1974) and a law degree from the University of Iowa (1977). He served as Associate General Counsel and General Manager of the Des Moines Register and Tribune Co. and is a former–now retired–business owner and has served as president of three manufacturing companies.

Jeannette D’Souza

Jeannette grew up in Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, in India. She got her Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. John’s College, University of Agra. She worked with the airlines until she got married in 1966 and went to live in Kuwait in the Middle East. After settling down with her two daughters, she worked as Assistant Administrator with a local bank that was run by Chase Manhattan Bank. When Kuwait was invaded by Saddam Hussein in 1990, she returned to India. Rather than retire so early in life she preferred to do her bit for the Church, now that she had the time. She began with teaching spoken English to candidates to the Jesuit seminary and continued to do so for seventeen years. But that was not enough. She felt she had a calling to be a Counsellor and studied for this with the Redemptorist fathers in Bangalore subsequently overseeing two parish-based Pastoral Counselling centres. She specialized in marriage counselling and took class, in this area, for the Redemptorist Seminarians in Bangalore. Jeanette and her husband Carlos were introduced to Serra in 2002 and were both Founding members of the Serra Club of Bangalore, India. Ever since she has been working passionately towards fulfilling Serra’s goals in India. With the help of a hard working and dedicated team, she introduced several innovative ideas to foster and promote vocations, in compliance with the local customs and environment. After her husband passed away she moved to Canada to live with her 2 daughters. She joined the International Board in 2016 and is currently the liason between Serra International and Serra in India. She is also a member of the Serra Toronto West Club in Canada.

Fred Gorges

Trustee- 1yr

Fred Gorges lives near Wichita, Kansas, and is a member of the Downtown Wichita Serra Club. He joined Serra in 1994. He has held positions in his Club as VP of Programs, VP Vocations, and President. He has also served as District 12-2S Governor for five years, and as Region 9 Director for two years. Fred has been involved in the transportation business for almost 50 years. He owns and operates a transportation company, FCG Inc., that contracts solely to FedEx Ground. Fred and his wife Chris have one wonderful daughter named Grace.

Giuseppe Miccoli

Trustee- 2yr

Giuseppe was born in Ravenna, Italy and obtained a degree in Physics from the University of Ferrara in 1979. He was a Senior Researcher of the Italian National Research Council from 1985 to 2020. He and his wife Eleonora Carlett have one child. Giuseppe is a member of the Serra Club of Ferrara in Emilia Romagna, Italy. He has served as president of the Serra Club of Ferrara (2006-2008, 2017-2019), Governor of District 76 Emilia Romagna (2010-2012),and Member of the SI Fondazione Italiana Beato Junipero Serra (FIBJS) Board of Directors (2020-2025). Within Serra International, he has served as a member of the SI Nominating Committee (2012-2015), SI Memberships (2018-2019) and Vocations (2019-2021) VP, SI Board Trustee (2015-2024). He is a Ferrara-Comacchio Diocese member, Pastoral Office for Laity and Diocese Eucharist Minister OFS, Secular Franciscan Order Member, 3rd Order Franciscan.

Malena Salas-Dosal

Malena comes from a large Catholic family of eight children. She was happily married to Fernando Dosal for 38 years, with whom she had two sons who continue to live as a family. She has been a widow since 2022. She graduated in commerce and worked in a major bank in Mexico City, at the International Division, until she became a mother. Malena and Fernando were invited to join Serra in 2009, and ever since she has been working hard in her club, later in the national council, and now as a trustee. She has been active in her parish, and enjoys volunteering in her community. She is a Minister of the Word, after studying the Bible for five years.

She and Fernando were coaches for four years of the Family Support Foundation Love and Life programs (marriage programs) in Mexico, led by Fr. Jaroslaw Szymczak. Since 2023 she has been working as a real estate agent at Grupo Lar, a developer from Spain.

Roberto Sebben

Trustee- 1yr

Roberto has been a member of the Serra Club of Vale do Iguaçu in Brazil since 1990. He has served his club as president and has also been a district governor. He also serves as speaker at the ECC-Meeting for couples with Christ and assists in the liturgy of the Catholic Church as a musician. He has a degree in civil engineering from the Federal University of Parana and serves on the engineering board as an advisor. He currently works as a physics teacher and is an expert in civil law, in the field of civil construction projects and construction of residential and commercial buildings. Roberto and his wife, economist Sandra Mara, have two sons, the oldest being a spinal surgeon and the other a plastic surgeon.

Francisca Lo

VP of Membership

Francisca joined Serra Club of Hong Kong in 2015 after her pilgrimage to Jerusalem. She was nominated as a board member the following year and President in 2019. Currently she is serving as a District Governor of Hong Kong and Macau for a second term. She is also on the school board sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. It is her wish to continue to contribute to The Church and the community at large.

Francisca graduated from McGill University in Montreal with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She was in charge of two psychiatric units at Montreal General Hospital for 4 years, before returning to Hong Kong to be closer to her family. She received a job offer to work for Merrill Lynch after taking the US General Securities Representative Exam. She worked as an institutional sales director till retirement.

Chris has been a member of the Serra Club of Glasgow Scotland for more than 25 years. He has  been VP Membership, Programmes and is a past President.  

He was Treasurer of Serra GB for a few years before becoming President. He has attended  several Serra International Conventions in the past 10 years.  

Chris worked in further education for over 30 years before he retired. He has two grandchildren.

Patricia Manzo

I have spent almost my entire life in Southern California, where I attended St Rita’s school and earned a BS degree from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I am the second of six siblings, and am the mother of six children. After I was widowed, a dear friend invited me to join the local Serra Club in 1997. I have been an active member ever since, serving as President of the Orange County club more than once, and am currently treasurer. I served as District Governor, Regional Director and VP of communications for the USA Council. I just completed an 8-year term on the Serra International Foundation Board. I am currently serving on the Serra International Board. I also serve on the board of various local Catholic charities and am currently the president of a senior housing non-profit board. I still manage personal properties, and I love spending time with my children and grandchildren.
